Hand harvested and fermented in French oak barrels, then moved to new and old 225 litre Bordeaux style barrels for 28 months before being bottled and cellared for 36 months. In our opinion the time and money invested into this wine makes it amazing value for money. It also means that the wine is released to market when it is ready to drink.
Bodegas Perica is a Family winery, established in 1912. They own over 140 acres of vineyards in the best areas of Rioja Alta. "Perica" was the nickname of David Garcia, the son of the founder of the bodega, who transformed the business from a supplier to the local area to membership of the Consejo Regulador Denominación de Origen Rioja, in 1950.
