With vines dating back to 1447, this formally state-owned winery has been reinvigorated by Englishman, Philip Cox and his Romanian wife, Elvira. Since 1988, they have brought 650ha of vineyards to the forefront of Romanian winemaking, and providing some of the best value wines to be found anywhere in the world.
