Made with 100% Merlot from old vines with an average of 60 years of age. Le Plus de la Fleur de Boüard is aged entirely in new oak for 30 months, to ensure powerful flavour. It is bottled with no fining or filtration.
The Lalande-de-Pomerol estate has been owned since 1998 by the Boüard family. Hubert de Boüard de Laforest is more recognised for his co-ownership of Château Angélus in Saint-Émilion. The wines of La Fleur de Boüard are an excently way to sample the legendary wines of the family for a significantly lower price tag.
