Excellent potential for further ageing. The fruit arrives from the vineyard in the best condition possible and is fermented immediately in cask, letting the natural rise in cellar temperature enrich the lees and feed the wine. If required, they operate a very cautious use of bâtonnage on certain cuvées.
Following the marriage of Philippe Duvernay from Givry in the Côte Chalonaise and Laura Coffinet, a member of one of the most established families in Chassagne, this noteable domaine have been making standout wines since the mid 1980s. Being only 7 hectares and focussed only in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet, they have a philosophy of keeping it simple from vineyard to winery.
