Produced as a pure expression of grape, vineyard and terroir, this wine is made with grapes from old, low yielding vines in the Pago Miraflores La Baja in Sanlúcar. The wine is fermented in stainless steel then aged for 1 year in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

This wine pairs well with seafood, mild soft cheeses and salads.

The story of Equpo Navazos begins in 2005 when a small group of sherry lovers were visiting a boutique bodega in Sanlúcar. During the tour, deep in the cellars, they were shown a few butts of an old amontillado that had laid undisturbed for the past 20 years. They purchased and blended sherry from a selection of butts, producing 600 bottles that were labelled as La Bota de Amontillado “Navazos” and distributed amongst friends. The feedback encouraged the team to begin hunting for other hidden treasures, and during 2006 they produced 2 more products, again for private distribution.

As their project expanded in 2007 they began to sell some of their sherries through specialist distributors. The business has continued to develop and as well as seeking out hidden jewels they now work with growers and producers in order to develop specific styles of wines, sherries and brandies. This is however still an artisan business: at most a few thousand bottles are produced; sometimes only a few hundred. Each bottling in the "La Bota" range is allocated a sequential number enabling connoisseurs to compare the evolution of wines in individual soleras.
