Garnacha Blanco 70%; Viognier 30%
Viticulture practice is organic, although not certified as such. No pesticides, herbicides or non organic fertilisers are used. Grapes are harvested by hand then 70% of the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, at low temperature. 30% of the wine (all Garnacha,) is fermented in new French oak barrels then aged on the lees for 6 months. The two wines are blended immediately before bottling.
Pairs well with creamy pasta dishes, seafood and vegetables.
Finca Tobella was established in 2003 and has since grown through careful acquisition of vineyard plots to cover 20 hectares. All wines are made exclusively with grapes grown on the estate. Some of the vineyards are planted with vines up to 100 years old; others have been replanted. The climate has a Mediterranean maritime influence with long hot summers and cold winters. The broad diurnal range in summer, ranging from 40ºC during the day to 15ºC at night enhances the quality of the grapes grown in this region.
