In contrast to the neutral spirit often sold today, the tradition in Baltic and Scandinavian countries was for vodka to be flavoured with herbs. Many families had their own traditional recipes, handed down through the generations.

This vodka is based on the Polish family recipe of owner Paula Edwards. Spring water from her husband's Welsh family farm is is used to produce a pure grain spirit, then selected botanicals, also from the farm, are distilled with the spirit. Botanicals include: elderflower; gorse; camomile; coriander; cardamom; citrus.

A very versatile drink: it makes a delightful vodka martini, is refreshing served with tonic and orange peel or is a warming tipple sipped neat!

Husband and wife team Paulina and Sion Edwards established Edwards Distillers in November 2018. Sion initially worked on the family farm in Wales but he and Sion developed an interest in distilling spirits. Paulina studied distillation and rectification as part of her Engineering Masters degree. Sion worked for a number of specialist spirit producers before they set up their own business in Northamptonshire. They currently produce a gin and a botanical vodka, branded as Four Feathers.
