Mont Blois Wine Estate is tucked away in the picturesque Hoopsrivier area of the Robertson Wine Valley. Mont Blois Wine Estate and the Bruwer Family have a long history, dating back to 1869, when the first farm was purchased. Six generations later, they own three distinct farms in Robertson: Mont Blois, La Fontaine, and Sunshine. They have 260 hectares of vineyards. In 1884, the Mont Blois Wynlandgoed cellar was built. The farm is named after the picturesque Loire town of Blois, where the Bruwers originated. Ernst Bruwer succeeded his grandfather Ernst Bruwer Snr. as owner. Ernst believes in sustainable farming and the preservation of old vines.
