Decanter top 10 Spanish fine wines of 2021. Limited to 2200 bottles. Ripe fruit, black fruit preserve, creamy oak, mountain herbs and mineral notes. In the mouth it is spicy, with ripe tannins and fruity strawberry finish.
Direct destemming over a concrete tank. Whole berry alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in a barrel. Limited production of 2200 bottles. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels of 225l.
The historic vineyard of El Moral is over 100 years old, made up of clay and iron loam soils with an outcrop of silex and pebbles. Decades of pruning and care reward Adrien Llorente with outstanding fruit. So special that Decanter and Sarah Jane Evans MW have listed this wine as one of the top 10 Spanish fine wines of 2021.
Classified as Singular Vineyard by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Regulator Council of the Rioja Denomination of Origin in 2018, which implies an external certification of its uniqueness and the quality of its fruit.
