The Pinot Noir shows structure, strength and the individuality of the Rhodt sites. Picked by hand and spontaneously fermented in wooden barrels.

Origin: From the Rosengarten, Schlossberg and Klosterpfad sites, grown on clay, limestone and loess-clay soil
Aging: spontaneous fermentation on the skins with partially whole grapes, 14-18 days of maceration, 12-14 months in small oak barrels
Description of the wine: raspberry and cassis fruit blend seamlessly, supported by refined acidity, culminating in a rich and intricate finish.

With a family history steeped in wine making, Stefan Meyer aims to make unique wine with integrity, paying homage to everything that goes into creating wine - the land, the processes, the people. With this in mind, he has made the move to gain organic certification, with many biodynamic approaches also used in the vineyards.

Found on the edge of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park, the Upper Rhine Graben borders the Haardt low mountain range, giving an interesting range of geology, and vital mineral resources for viticulture. This area is one of the warmest and sunniest in Germany, whilst also receiving cooling winds and regular rainfall from the Haardt.
